European Parliament Esplanade – October 11, 2016 – 12.00-14.00
The European Week of Action for Girls is organised by a coalition of NGOs and international organisations working on topics linked to gender equality, girls and women’s empowerment and/or children’s and youth rights, and supported by the European Commission and European Parliament.
Join us for a life-size game of snakes and ladders to celebrate the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11 at the entrance to the European Parliament! Marking the launch of this year’s edition of the European Week of Action for Girls, the massive game of snakes and ladders is open to everyone, and will highlight the obstacles that girls all around the world face in their everyday lives, as well as what the EU can do to empower these girls and improve gender equality around the world, particularly through its development cooperation policy.
